Updates and helpful Author links!

I’ve been writing! Whee! Happy Jenn. In the last week or so, I’ve added about 15,000 words! *Squee*

So, it’s moving along again. I’ve decided to just let it be what it wants, and fix it up later. But I’ve been thinking, can there be such a thing as Relationship-Thriller? I mean there’s a love story there, but it’s not a romance. I’ve kept away from the romance style love scenes. No gushy dialogue. They don’t say I love you at the end of book one. But it’s got that boy meets girl, complications ensue romantic style sub-plot. Ah-well.

Anyway, I’m updating because I’ve found a few new helpful links for writers and thought I would share them.

http://www.duotrope.com/ This is kinda like Writer’s market, but it’s free. I’ve only skimmed it so far and don’t know how good it is. So far, it seems helpful.

http://www.writersmarket.co.uk Unlike the US one, this one is now free.

http://www.prweb.com This is a site for press releases. I got a free trial through my web hosts, but maybe they have other offers you can check out too.

http://www.bookswim.com/ A “Netflix” for books. I’m sure there are other ones, but this one will give you an Author’s Spotlight if you send them a copy.

http://www.facebook.com Yes, yes, I know…yet another social networking tool. I’m there too. However, it’s free and exposure is exposure right?
