Q&A Thursday - Interview with Tonya Kinzer!

Today's interview is with Tonya Kinzer!

Enjoy & Comment!

What is the worst thing you’ve written, how did you learn or know it was bad, and what did you learn from it?

Tonya:  It was my first book I’d written and we all learn from our first book. I belonged to a critique group and they taught me so much! They were a group of writers willing to help newbies; that is why I love helping other authors look over their work to see where to improve. My work is far from perfect, but I’ve come a long way from where I started. The main thing I learned was not to head hop between your characters which made so much sense once I learned what that meant. I had to rewrite that entire book, but it came out better. I also learned to use the five senses as I write so that my readers can relate better to the story and characters. My website has a page of articles for new authors. I hope they’re able to take away at least one item to use in their own editing to make their stories better.

Why did you start writing and when did you decide to go professional?

Tonya:  I started writing several years ago, many in fact. I decided only last year to publish my erotic writing…mainly because self publishing is easy for me. That’s not to say I would never submit to a publishing house because someday I may do that with one of my books. I’ve had a few editors ask but so far, I’ve not sent in anything to anyone.

Do you write in more than one genre? Which ones and which do you like the best?

Tonya:  Yes, I write in more than one genre. I keep them separate and secret…is that bad? LOL The other is still in the romance genre but I don’t think those readers would appreciate my erotic writing nor would my children. So…my readers will just have to enjoy my ‘Tonya’ personality. Who knows, you may already be reading my alter-ego! Hubby always tells our friends he never knows who he’s going to bed with…his wife or one of her writer personalities! But he loves us all!

Tonya Kinzer writes erotic romance for readers who love to become a silent character within the story! You will be pulled into scenes to partake of the activities, to feel what her characters feel and taste what they taste...strong sexual desires! Be prepared to enter a world you'll not want to leave and can't wait to get back to. Their future holds new submissives and demanding Doms.

Her series, The Boss's Pet, will take you on a journey alongside Nick and Sondra as they venture into a lifestyle that pulls them deeper into a world of sensuality and submission. You'll not want to miss any of the books in this series so stay locked on her website to know when the next books get released.

Hi Tonya, it seems like I've been stalking you this week, from one Blogs-site to the next. Question; since you write in many different genres, how difficult is it for you to put on a different hat and switch from one genre to another? And do you have a preference?

Ben, I don't consider you a stalker, hon! Thank you for stopping in! Writing in different genres keeps my muse on her toes, for sure! It helps me from being bored of what I'm working on by writing such different stories...in one genre I have to remember to be a bit more tame than writing erotica. I hope our visitors enjoy my sites as well as roaming around Jenn's sites! Thank you all for reading here!
