Overload
It's really scary watching it now, knowing what I know from seasons 2 and 3. But, of course, only leaves more questions and theories. Ugh.
Roomie is convinced the whole show has something to do with Locke and Walt, light and dark, black and white. There were three separate black/white things. Rocks on dead bodies, Locke's eyes in Claire's dream and of course the backgammon game of white and black. I'll have to keep tabs on more of that, but so far, just those three showed up.
In other news, I have seven subscribers to my newsletter! Hey, it's a start and those people can say they knew me when, heh. I'll be sending the first update for everyone next week when I get Tiva's book cover. The artist is almost done painting it. Then it needs to dry, then he will scan it for me! I'm considering buying the actual piece itself, but I don't have the money just yet. Bleh.
I'm reading another WOW authors book and honestly not doing a bit of writing. I know, I know. I just can't seem to get my ass in gear and do it. Maybe I should unplug the freaking television, yeah, that would probably help!
Before all the networks started doing summer shows, I used to watch a ton of History/Discovery/National Geographic documentaries. Now, with my handy DVR, I'm recording them and racking up shows like there's no tomorrow. Last week we watched a Marine boot camp doc, I totally love the Cities of the Underground series, and we still have Ice Truckers, Planet Earth, The Universe, and I recorded the History of Sex, because, well, I'm a pervert and love hearing about all the perverts of ancient times.
I can't get away from the news either. So much going on around the world it's almost too much to handle. But this is the world we live in now, somehow, I have to find the beauty of it all in the midst of all this chaos.
I know I'll never see peace in my life time, and Roomie (who is more of a cynic than I am) thinks that there will never be peace, ever. That makes me sad. However, I'm pleased that people in the celebrity spotlight--Angelina Jolie, George Clooney and even Lucy Liu are bringing the atrocities around the world to the American public. I understand the need to stay ignorant of all the shit going on out there, but enough is enough and something has to be done. We obviously can't count on our government *cough-Bush* to do anything useful, so hopefully the media attention will help NATO and the UN step up to the plate this time around. After all, we can't bail everyone out--we just get into more trouble when we do.
Anywho, I'm going to TRY and do some writing today. I have about two hours before So You Think You Can Dance is on...I know, I'm sad. But I'm okay with it for now.
TWO WEEKS UNTIL TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, If I didn't say it before, I'm still predicting that Transformers WILL BE the #1 movie in America...ever. Beating out Titanic. Let's make it happen people! We only need 600 million dollars! LOL

Update
I've updated my website again, to make it a little easier on the eyes.
I've also added links for a newsletter service I'm testing out. I'll be posting news and updates there as well. If you'd like to subscribe please do!
I did a review for a fellow author on myspace and have to say it was a great experience. If anyone else would like to swap ARC's or books for reviews and blurbs, please let me know.
Lastly, I'm still offering a website link swap with other people, especially authors!
Have a great weekend everyone,
~Jenn

Hi
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you moms out there.
Mine is still sleeping in the living room on her AEROBed, because she said she froze and tossed and turned all night. Ah well. I take her out to get something good to eat, that'll make up for it. I guess.
I've found a new crack:

It's yummy. You should try it. :-) I think it helped me break through my weightloss plateau. So that's always helpful! Of course it doesn't help those middle of the night bathroom runs that happen every night between 4 and 5 am! However, the fact I found a DIET drink I actually LOVE is rare, so I'm excited.
I'm almost ready to start back writing Lucky Book Two again. I don't know why I've been in such a rut lately, but I need to break it soon before I got nutty. Don't you hate it when you know exactly what you want to do, have all the ideas in your head, know the plot, and such, and have no drive to write? I do. And it's been like that for about a month.
Shame on me.
I know it mostly has to do with working full time again, going to the gym after work, and well...my TV shows. That will change in a couple of weeks, so I'm looking forward to some mad ass writing clips in the future.
In other news:
My publisher is accepting synopsis and query letters for Sci-fi or Fantasy books, so if you're interested let me know. (I saw the cover work for one of the books already and it looks great! I'm very excited to see more.)
I went to the DMV on Thursday to get a new drivers license and it took me TEN FREAKIN MINUTES! I was floored, seriously. Previously at the NJ DMV you were lucky if you got out of there in an hour. I couldn't believe it when I was done. I said to the lady. "Really? Are you kidding me?" Took the damn thing and ran out before they changed their mind. LOL!
I got a belated birthday present from my fairy friend. It's a bracelet that says: Dream, Believe, Achieve. Something I needed to hear, so I'm glad she got it for me.

Books, Books, and well, Books...
YAY! I won a signed ARC from Barry Eisler!
Happy fricken Jenn!
In the last two years, I've collected signed books from S.L. Viehl, JR Ward, and Marjorie Liu.
Of course, the other ARC I *won* is in the grubby little hands of my sister...cuz I'm so nice.
Ah well.
In other news, both Tiva books are done and ready for book covers and ARCness! I'm DYING to see something in the way of a cover, I just have a feeling it'll be a few more months. The original artist the publishers had got sick and quit....*sigh*
I'm done with Lucky #1 and working on Lucky #2. I've decided, thanks mostly to smeddley that I'm just going to let it be whatever the fuck it wants to be and stop worrying about which pieces may or may not fit. Ha! Take that genre!
I'm glad Anna-Nicole's baby daddy has been found, now will you PLEASE STOP PUTTING THIS SHIT ON MY NEWS PROGRAM! Jeeze. Really, who fucking cares? Thank god they stopped talking about Baldy Spears.
Also, I've decided not to comment on the Imus thing. I see it from both sides of the coin, so therefore my opinion is trivial. Personally, I think there are more important things in the world to worry about. Like, say, the bombings in Algeria, the bombing of the NATO convoy, the extension of US Troops overseas, the fighting in Somalia, the crisis in Darfur...
But I can't change any of those things, that's left to the people in power around the world who seem to love turning a blind eye to anything that's not sensationalized in the media. Whatever.
TV is all new tonight, so that'll help get my mind off shit.
